FRANCESCO TRISTANO: \u00bbdeconstruct\u00ab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDeconstruct\u201d on May 9 at Nikolaisaal Potsdam<\/strong>: The acclaimed Luxembourgish pianist and composer Francesco Tristano approaches Kandinsky\u2019s visual world using piano, electronics, and visual abstraction. Inspired by the exhibition \u201cKosmos Kandinsky\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/em> at the Museum Barberini, original compositions emerge, accompanied by animated videos and light art. In sync with the music, videos by Peco Barbe will be shown, deconstructing Kandinsky\u2019s paintings and animating them in monochrome. This multimedia gesamtkunstwerk is completed by lighting designer Sergi Prats, who reinterprets Kandinsky\u2019s color scales through light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing his studies at Juilliard School in New York, Francesco Tristano\u2014hailed as a \u201cRising Star\u201d\u2014has performed in many prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Wiener Musikverein. His concert work has brought him together with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. His albums have received critical acclaim and multiple awards. Tristano\u2019s repertoire spans Baroque, Classical, contemporary music, jazz, and club music, reflecting both his virtuosity and versatility. His interpretations are bold and unconventional, and collaborations with Chilly Gonzales and Detroit techno legend Carl Craig highlight Tristano\u2019s boundless curiosity and openness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
